The sound of this newly formed power trio is characterized by Roland Neffes original compositions that have developed continually since his early trios, and vividly demonstrate a personal style. The bands music is a melting pot of various contemporary styles of music – a symbiosis of avant-garde sounds and down to earth grooves. It is music that transcends conventional boundaries, yet still retains its jazz identity. In drummer Reinhard Winkler and bassist Peter Herbert, Roland Neffe has found two outstanding and dynamic partners for “Vibes Beyond“.

“Moodra“ is a jazz quartet whose heart is the Swiss singer Nathalie Claude. Her lyrics form the common thread that connects the diverse originals contributed by the whole band. While deliberately abandoning the use of drums seems, this ensemble pulls all the stops. The line-up would seem steer the band toward the lyrical, yet it shows an effortless sense of groove and a wide range of colour.

forms of existence in contemporary music.
